Museum Comedy
As part of his continuing mission to marry science and comedy, in 2008 Ben McKenzie launched the Melbourne Museum Comedy Tour: an after-hours walk round some of the museum’s exhibits conducted by comedians with a flair for finding the funny in the factual. It returned in 2009 to sell-out crowds and now, in 2010, the idea of Museum Comedy has spread to include a programme of Saturday lunchtime comedy lectures, and in May will reach out to its first non-Melbourne audience, at the Australian Maritime Museum in Sydney.
All of this is too big to be contained by the Man in the Lab Coat, and so in 2010 Ben launched the the Museum Comedy web site! Click on the title below to visit the new site and find out all about the humour potential hidden in every institution of learning. As Indy might say: comedy belongs in a museum.
